| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | memories of U.S. Army Sergeant Anthony T. Kimble, who died on |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | February 12, 2021, at the age of 32; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Kimble was born in St. Louis, Missouri, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | on September 10, 1988, to Anthony Kimble and Gloria Baker, and he |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | grew up with three siblings, Amanda, Shamar, and Sharron; after |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | graduating from Beaumont High School in 2008, he enlisted in the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | army, and over the course of the next 13 years, he served with the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | National Guard in Japan, Germany, China, North Carolina, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Missouri, and Texas, earning many commendations as well as the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | respect and admiration of his fellow soldiers; he was most |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | recently assigned to Fort Bliss in El Paso; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A lively, good-humored, and generous man, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Sergeant Kimble was an inspirational presence in the lives of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | everyone he met; he was the author of three books, including |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Kimble Psalms: Prayer of a Psalmist, and he was the founder of a |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | suicide awareness and prevention program called the Kimble |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Psalms Project and Art Productions, for which he produced |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | illustrations and portraits of people he met through his work; he |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | also promoted awareness through his YouTube channel; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Kimble was a devoted son, brother, uncle, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | nephew, and friend, and he leaves behind a legacy of compassion |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | and concern for others that will continue to illuminate the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | hearts of all those who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Sergeant Anthony |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | T. Kimble and extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and many |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | friends; and, be it further |

| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
