                    SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 217
 In Memory
 of
 Christopher Ray Vardy
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
 commemorates the life of Christopher Ray Vardy, who died February
 11, 2021, at the age of 49; and
 WHEREAS, Chris Vardy was born on September 25, 1971, in
 Lubbock; he earned a degree from Frenship High School before
 going on to graduate from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's
 degree in business; and
 WHEREAS, While attending college, he met the love of his
 life, Tamara Neff, and the couple married on June 18, 1994; they
 were blessed with two sons, Brendan Earl Vardy and Christopher
 Neff Vardy, who were a source of much pride and joy for him; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Vardy enjoyed a fulfilling professional
 career at InterConnect Wiring, where he was the contract
 administrator for the company's F-16 project; and
 WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practiced his faith in his
 daily life, he was a longtime member of First United Methodist
 Church of Fort Worth, where he was a dedicated volunteer for
 several of the church's ministries; and
 WHEREAS, A man of kindness and generosity, Chris had a warm
 smile and an infectious laugh that could light up a room; he was a
 devoted son, husband, and father, and he leaves behind memories
 that will be treasured forever by all who were privileged to
 share in his life; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
 family of Christopher Ray Vardy; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
 Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
 memory of Chris Vardy.
