| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | commemorates the life of Christopher Ray Vardy, who died February |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 11, 2021, at the age of 49; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Chris Vardy was born on September 25, 1971, in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Lubbock; he earned a degree from Frenship High School before |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | going on to graduate from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | degree in business; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, While attending college, he met the love of his |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | life, Tamara Neff, and the couple married on June 18, 1994; they |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | were blessed with two sons, Brendan Earl Vardy and Christopher |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Neff Vardy, who were a source of much pride and joy for him; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Vardy enjoyed a fulfilling professional |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | career at InterConnect Wiring, where he was the contract |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | administrator for the company's F-16 project; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practiced his faith in his |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | daily life, he was a longtime member of First United Methodist |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Church of Fort Worth, where he was a dedicated volunteer for |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | several of the church's ministries; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, A man of kindness and generosity, Chris had a warm |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | smile and an infectious laugh that could light up a room; he was a |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | devoted son, husband, and father, and he leaves behind memories |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | that will be treasured forever by all who were privileged to |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | share in his life; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | family of Christopher Ray Vardy; and, be it further |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
