44 Christopher Ray Vardy
55 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
66 commemorates the life of Christopher Ray Vardy, who died February
77 11, 2021, at the age of 49; and
88 WHEREAS, Chris Vardy was born on September 25, 1971, in
99 Lubbock; he earned a degree from Frenship High School before
1010 going on to graduate from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's
1111 degree in business; and
1212 WHEREAS, While attending college, he met the love of his
1313 life, Tamara Neff, and the couple married on June 18, 1994; they
1414 were blessed with two sons, Brendan Earl Vardy and Christopher
1515 Neff Vardy, who were a source of much pride and joy for him; and
1616 WHEREAS, Mr. Vardy enjoyed a fulfilling professional
1717 career at InterConnect Wiring, where he was the contract
1818 administrator for the company's F-16 project; and
1919 WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practiced his faith in his
2020 daily life, he was a longtime member of First United Methodist
2121 Church of Fort Worth, where he was a dedicated volunteer for
2222 several of the church's ministries; and
2323 WHEREAS, A man of kindness and generosity, Chris had a warm
2424 smile and an infectious laugh that could light up a room; he was a
2525 devoted son, husband, and father, and he leaves behind memories
2626 that will be treasured forever by all who were privileged to
2727 share in his life; now, therefore, be it
2828 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
2929 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
3030 family of Christopher Ray Vardy; and, be it further
3131 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
3232 his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
3333 Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
3434 memory of Chris Vardy.
