| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |

| 6 | 6 | | commemorates the life of Paul Douglas Wooderson, who died January |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born in 1968, Paul Wooderson was a native of |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Huejutla, Hidalgo, Mexico; on May 25, 1973, he was adopted by the |

| 10 | 10 | | Reverend Roland Douglas Wooderson and Doris Lynell McCollum |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Wooderson of Texas; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Paul became a man of great faith and spiritual |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | devotion, and he was an active member of his church, International |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Christian Center; he was an esteemed member of his community, and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | he enjoyed a rewarding career as an educator with the Brownsville |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Independent School District as a choir director; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A loving husband and father, Paul shared a joyful |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | union with Alicia H. Wooderson, and their two children, Alexis |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and Marcos Wooderson, enriched his life immeasurably; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Paul Wooderson was admired for his wisdom, his |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | compassion, and his boundless generosity; he touched the lives of |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | many, and he will long be remembered with respect and admiration by |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | all who were privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | family of Paul Douglas Wooderson; and, be it further |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
