| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Established in 1947, the Youth of the Year |

| 7 | 7 | | competition is the premier recognition program of the Boys & |

| 8 | 8 | | Girls Clubs of America; this comprehensive leadership |

| 9 | 9 | | development initiative helps club members to build their skills |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in such vital areas as communication, goal-setting, and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | teamwork; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, With her selection as a state regional honoree, |

| 13 | 13 | | Ms. Vegamora has become a candidate in the Texas Military Youth |

| 14 | 14 | | of the Year competition taking place in March 2021; the top |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | finisher in that event will join other state winners in vying for |

| 16 | 16 | | the National Youth of the Year title; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Jaime Vegamora's selection as a Regional Military |

| 18 | 18 | | Youth of the Year is a fitting tribute to her considerable |

| 19 | 19 | | success in academics and her proven leadership in her club and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | community, and she may indeed reflect with pride on this |

| 21 | 21 | | prestigious honor; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Jaime Daniella P. Vegamora on |
