| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the citizens of Round Top on the occasion of the town's |

| 4 | 4 | | 150th Anniversary Celebration; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, This historic event is being held on May 8, 2021; |

| 6 | 6 | | the celebration was delayed for a year due to the limits imposed |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | by the COVID-19 pandemic; however, the people of Round Top have |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | organized festivities that will make the postponement well worth |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | the wait; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The town's Sesquicentennial Committee has put |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | together a wide range of family-friendly activities to create |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | a memorable event; the festivities will include live music on |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the square, tours of the Festival Hill Concert Hall, and an |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | inaugural Taste of Round Top, which will feature food from the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | town's diverse restaurant scene; one of the event's highlights |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | will be the Country Legends Tribute in the town's historic |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | dance hall; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Round Top is a vibrant community that embraces its |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | rich and colorful past while looking forward to a bright and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | prosperous future; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby commend the citizens of Round Top on their |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | many contributions to the culture and prosperity of our state and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | extend to all best wishes for an enjoyable celebration of the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | town's 150th anniversary; and, be it further |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | the town as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
