| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Tracey Cline is retiring from the Allen Economic |

| 3 | 3 | | Development Corporation on April 30, 2021, drawing to a close |

| 4 | 4 | | nearly a decade and a half of service to the people of Allen; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, During her exemplary 14-year tenure with Allen |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | EDC, Ms. Cline initiated the Business Retention and Expansion |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Program, and she became the corporation's first business |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | retention and expansion manager; she played a vital role in a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | number of corporate expansions in the city, working with such |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | diverse companies as KONE, WatchGuard Video (now Motorola |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Solutions), Micron Technology, Billings Productions, and Silver |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Thai Cuisine; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Before joining the City of Allen, Ms. Cline |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | worked for Brinker International, Perot Systems, and the Federal |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Deposit Insurance Corporation, where she was special events chair |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and the recipient of many STAR awards; she was later employed |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | with Yum! Brands, and while there, she garnered the Customer |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Maniac of the Year Award; active in her community, she received |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the Spirit of Allen/Citizen of the Year Award in 2009; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Tracey Cline's leadership, resourcefulness, and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | dedication have greatly benefited the citizens of Allen and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | earned her the respect and admiration of her peers, and she may |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | indeed reflect with pride on her many achievements as she embarks |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | on the next exciting chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Tracey Cline on her retirement |

| 27 | 27 | | from the Allen Economic Development Corporation and extend to her |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
