| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Wesley Mabe of the Parker County Sheriff's |

| 3 | 3 | | Office has been promoted to the Dallas-Fort Worth Fugitive |

| 4 | 4 | | Apprehension Strike Team, representing a significant milestone |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | in the career of this dedicated officer; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, DFW FAST is an interdepartmental initiative of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | the U.S. Marshals Service in collaboration with sheriff's |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | offices, police departments, and other law enforcement agencies |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | in North Texas; the strike team focuses on apprehending |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | individuals accused of violent crimes, and, as the need arises, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | to assist with extradition and courthouse security efforts; as a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | new member of the team, Deputy Mabe has been specially deputized |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | by the U.S. Marshals; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A 2014 graduate of the Weatherford College Police |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Academy, Deputy Mabe joined the Erath County Sheriff's Office |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | that same year, starting as a patrol deputy and working his way up |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | to investigator, and he has served with the Parker County |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Sheriff's Office since 2019; he also works as a field training |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | officer, and he is certified in special weapons and tactics; in |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | all his endeavors, he enjoys the love and support of his wife, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Kaitlin; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Deputy Wesley Mabe's professionalism, integrity, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and dedication to duty have earned him the respect and admiration |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | of his fellow officers, and he may indeed reflect with pride on |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | his achievements as he takes on the challenges and opportunities |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | of his new assignment; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Deputy Wesley Mabe on his |

| 29 | 29 | | promotion to the Dallas-Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike |
