4	4	Derrik Alonzo Juarez
5	5	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
6	6	commemorates the life of Derrik Alonzo Juarez, who died August
7	7	17, 2020, at the age of 44; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Derrik Juarez was born on March 14, 1976, in
9	9	Houston; he lived most of his life in the Rio Grande Valley and
10	10	was an honors graduate of The University of Texas at Brownsville;
11	11	he went on to earn a degree from The University of Texas School of
12	12	Law; and
13	13	WHEREAS, He enjoyed a distinguished career in the practice
14	14	of law, and he took pride in the respect of his peers in the South
15	15	Texas legal community; and
16	16	WHEREAS, He was devoted to his family, and he leaves behind
17	17	memories that will be treasured forever by all who were
18	18	privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
20	20	Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
21	21	family of Derrik Alonzo Juarez: his wife, Myrna Zolezzi de
22	22	Juarez, and daughter, Vida; his former wife, Adriana Garcia, and
23	23	their children, Christian, Brandon, and Hannah Juarez; and his
24	24	granddaughter, Emmalynn Juarez; and, be it further
25	25	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
26	26	his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
27	27	Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
28	28	memory of Derrik Alonzo Juarez.
