44 Derrik Alonzo Juarez
55 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
66 commemorates the life of Derrik Alonzo Juarez, who died August
77 17, 2020, at the age of 44; and
88 WHEREAS, Derrik Juarez was born on March 14, 1976, in
99 Houston; he lived most of his life in the Rio Grande Valley and
1010 was an honors graduate of The University of Texas at Brownsville;
1111 he went on to earn a degree from The University of Texas School of
1212 Law; and
1313 WHEREAS, He enjoyed a distinguished career in the practice
1414 of law, and he took pride in the respect of his peers in the South
1515 Texas legal community; and
1616 WHEREAS, He was devoted to his family, and he leaves behind
1717 memories that will be treasured forever by all who were
1818 privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it
1919 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
2020 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
2121 family of Derrik Alonzo Juarez: his wife, Myrna Zolezzi de
2222 Juarez, and daughter, Vida; his former wife, Adriana Garcia, and
2323 their children, Christian, Brandon, and Hannah Juarez; and his
2424 granddaughter, Emmalynn Juarez; and, be it further
2525 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2626 his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
2727 Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
2828 memory of Derrik Alonzo Juarez.
