| 4 | 4 | | in the history of this successful Texas aircraft manufacturer; |

|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Air Tractor's founder is the legendary aircraft |

| 7 | 7 | | engineer Leland Snow, who designed his first crop-duster |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | airplane in 1951, at the age of 21; the following year, he |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | graduated from Texas A&M University, and he went on to found the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Snow Aeronautical Company, which he sold to Rockwell-Standard in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 1965; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, In 1972, Mr. Snow started Air Tractor, and since |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the release of its original model, the AT-301 crop duster, the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | company has become one of the top agricultural aircraft brands in |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | the industry, providing aircraft to customers all over the world |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | for a wide variety of purposes, from firefighting to the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | eradication of narcotic crops; the company has been employee |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | owned since 2008; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Remaining in continuous production for 49 years, |

| 20 | 20 | | Air Tractor shipped its 1,100th aircraft in 1993, its 2,000th |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | aircraft in 2004, and its 3,000th aircraft in 2013; its 4,000th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | aircraft, an Air Tractor 502XP, has been sold to Moore's Aerial |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Applicators, a crop-dusting firm in North Carolina; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, For nearly half a century, Air Tractor, Inc., has |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | been one of the most trusted names in agricultural aircraft, and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | the company may indeed take great pride in all that it has |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | accomplished; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Air Tractor, Inc., on the sale |

| 30 | 30 | | of its 4,000th aircraft and extend to all those associated with |

| 31 | 31 | | the company sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
