| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | passing of Cora Jean Keffer of McCamey on February 24, 2021, at |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | the age of 95; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The former Jean Moore was born on June 22, 1925, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | to Jacob and Cora Moore in Stephenville; she spent most of her |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | youth in McCamey, where she grew up with the companionship of her |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | five siblings, J. C., Leon, Allen, William, and Margaret; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | embarking on a fulfilling career, she worked as a Mary Kay |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | consultant for 50 years; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Keffer enjoyed the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | love and support of her husband, James Earl Keffer, with whom she |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | shared a rewarding marriage that spanned nearly six decades |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | before his death in 2007; she took great pride in her three |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | children, Jim, Bill, and Mona, and she cherished time spent with |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | her seven grandchildren, Vanessa, Brad, Chris, Rob, Scott, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Caroline, and Doug, and her two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | and Braxton; she was fiercely devoted to her family and friends, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and she found great beauty in the desert landscape of West Texas; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Jean Keffer |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | will remember the way she touched their lives with her strong |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | faith and her delightful sense of humor, and she will forever |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | hold a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Cora Jean Keffer |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her passing; and, |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | be it further |

| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
