| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared |

| 4 | 4 | | honor by Jacob Halter of El Paso heralds a future bright with |

| 5 | 5 | | opportunity and promise; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The son of Bob and Christina Halter, Mr. Halter is |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | a member of Scouts BSA Troop No. 2; he has mastered a number of |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | important skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout, earning |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | merit badges requiring expertise in such diverse areas as first |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | aid, personal fitness, and environmental science; moreover, he |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | has gained experience in leadership and teamwork while |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | undertaking his Eagle Scout project, which involved overseeing |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the installation of a new audio and visual station at First |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Presbyterian Church for the streaming of services during the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | COVID-19 pandemic; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Halter has further distinguished himself as a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | student at El Paso High School, where he has earned All-Region |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | honors in orchestra and jazz from the Texas Music Educators |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Association and has qualified for the UIL State Solo-Ensemble |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Contest; moreover, he is a volunteer member of the First |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Presbyterian Church praise band; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Jacob Halter has |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Scouts BSA and its |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | ideals, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | the way will indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | therefore, be it |

| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |

| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Eagle Scout Jacob Halter on |
