| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 3 | 3 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Mary and Jimmie |

| 4 | 4 | | Roberson celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |

| 5 | 5 | | March 30, 2021; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jimmie Lee Roberson and the former Mary Kate |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Brigham were joined in matrimony in 1956; over the years, they |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | have been blessed with a treasured family that includes their |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | children, Clifton Roberson, Steve Roberson, and the late Howard |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Roberson, as well as their five grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Mr. Roberson retired from DCD Warehouse and owned A1 Service |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Cleaners, and Mrs. Roberson worked as a seamstress and retired |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | from A1 Service Cleaners; they are valued congregants of Carter |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Roberson have enjoyed six and a half |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | decades of abiding love and affection for each other, and they |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | are among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | a lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Mary and Jimmie Roberson on |

| 22 | 22 | | their 65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |

| 23 | 23 | | wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
