| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Judy Conner retired as director of aging services |

| 3 | 3 | | for the Texoma Council of Governments on April 30, 2021, drawing |

| 4 | 4 | | to a close a notable career with the council that spanned nearly |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | two decades; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, TCOG is an association of local governments that |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | strives to improve the economic vitality and quality of life in |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Cooke, Fannin, and Grayson Counties, which together have one of |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | the highest senior populations in the state; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Conner joined TCOG in 2002 as a part-time |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | caregiver specialist for the Area Agency on Aging of Texoma; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | eight years later, she was promoted to manager of the Caregiver |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and Care Coordination programs, and she went on to become the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | director of the Aging Services Department; under her outstanding |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | leadership, the council assembled a care coalition to improve the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | health of area residents and reduce hospital readmission rates; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Dedicated to her profession, Ms. Conner became a |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | credentialed professional gerontologist in 2014, and she has |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | given generously of her time and talents to the National |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Association for Professional Gerontologists and to the Local |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Elder Assistance Providers network; in addition, she is a member |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | of the Grayson County Rotary Club; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Conner's dedication, professionalism, and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | expertise have greatly benefited the mission of TCOG, and she may |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent as she embarks on |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | the next exciting chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Judy Conner on her retirement |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | from the Texoma Council of Governments and extend to her sincere |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
