56 BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
67 Legislature, Regular Session, 2021, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
78 suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
8- conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on
9- Senate Bill 155 (the use of certain information regarding voter
10- qualification) to consider and take action on the following
11- matter:

1414 version of the bill in proposed SECTION 1 of the bill, by amending
1515 Section 16.0332(a), Election Code, and adding Subsections (a-1),
1616 (d), and (e) to read as follows:
1717 (a) After the registrar receives notification [a list]
1818 under Subsection (a-1) of this section, Section 18.068 of this
1919 code, or Section 62.113, Government Code, of persons excused or
2020 disqualified from jury service because of citizenship status or
2121 notification of persons who indicate a lack of citizenship status
2222 in connection with a motor vehicle or Department of Public Safety

24- whose name appears on the list a written notice requiring the
25- voter to submit to the registrar proof of United States
26- citizenship in the form of a certified copy of the voter's birth
27- certificate, United States passport, or certificate of

29- state. The notice shall be delivered by forwardable mail to the
30- mailing address on the voter's registration application and to

35- registration list is compared against information in the
36- database of the Department of Public Safety on a monthly basis to
37- verify the accuracy of citizenship status information previously
38- provided on voter registration applications.
