SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 544
WHEREAS, Renee L. Couch has served with distinction as
president of the Texas Association of Counties; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to public service, Ms. Couch has worked
diligently to advance TAC's mission as the representative voice
for all of the state's counties and county officials; a graduate
of TAC's leadership program, she is also a member of the
association's County Investment Academy Education Advisory
Committee and the Core Legislative Group; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Couch has served as Comal County treasurer
since 2007, and she is the county's investment officer as well;
previously, she was president of the County Treasurer's
Association of Texas; she was named 2017 Outstanding County
Treasurer of Texas; moreover, she received presidential
appointments to the National Association of Counties' Broadband
Task Force and the Environment, Energy, and Land Use Steering
Committee; she was a member of NACo's Class of 2020 County
Leadership Institute and completed its High Performance
Leadership Academy; and
WHEREAS, Through her outstanding efforts in behalf of the
Texas Association of Counties, Renee Couch is helping to make
local government more effective, and she is indeed deserving of
special recognition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
Legislature, hereby honor Renee L. Couch for her service as
president of the Texas Association of Counties and extend to her
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for Ms. Couch as an expression of high regard from the
Texas Senate.
