| 4 | 4 | | WHEREAS, Dedicated to public service, Ms. Couch has worked |

| 5 | 5 | | diligently to advance TAC's mission as the representative voice |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | for all of the state's counties and county officials; a graduate |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | of TAC's leadership program, she is also a member of the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | association's County Investment Academy Education Advisory |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Committee and the Core Legislative Group; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Couch has served as Comal County treasurer |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | since 2007, and she is the county's investment officer as well; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | previously, she was president of the County Treasurer's |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Association of Texas; she was named 2017 Outstanding County |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Treasurer of Texas; moreover, she received presidential |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | appointments to the National Association of Counties' Broadband |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Task Force and the Environment, Energy, and Land Use Steering |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Committee; she was a member of NACo's Class of 2020 County |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Leadership Institute and completed its High Performance |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Leadership Academy; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Through her outstanding efforts in behalf of the |

| 21 | 21 | | Texas Association of Counties, Renee Couch is helping to make |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | local government more effective, and she is indeed deserving of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby honor Renee L. Couch for her service as |

| 26 | 26 | | president of the Texas Association of Counties and extend to her |

| 27 | 27 | | sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
