| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Alex San Martin has ably served his fellow Texans |

| 3 | 3 | | as an intern in the office of State Senator Donna Campbell during |

| 4 | 4 | | the 87th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. San Martin has |

| 6 | 6 | | provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | challenging tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | the field of public service, he has learned more about the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Star State; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The son of Lety and David Mireles, Mr. San Martin |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | earned his bachelor's degree in communications from The |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | University of Texas at San Antonio; he has been appointed by |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas State Independent Living |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Council, and starting in September 2021, he will serve on the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | board of the UTSA Alumni Association; he looks forward to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | pursuing a career in public service; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; |

| 21 | 21 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend Alex San Martin for his service as a |

| 24 | 24 | | legislative intern in the office of State Senator Donna Campbell |

| 25 | 25 | | and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in |
