| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Stevenson has ably served her fellow |

| 3 | 3 | | Texans as an intern in the office of State Senator Donna Campbell |

| 4 | 4 | | during the 87th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Lizzy Stevenson has |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | challenging tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | the field of public service, she has learned more about the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Star State; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Mark and Kimberly Stevenson, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Ms. Stevenson earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Baylor |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | University and a master's degree in healthcare administration |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | from Texas State University; she was honored with Texas State's |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | service-learning award of achievement for her efforts in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | promoting sexual and behavioral health education and awareness |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | through her research and volunteer activities; moreover, she is a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | co-authored two research articles that explore ways to improve |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the health care delivery system; while studying at Texas State, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | she worked for the Hays County Courts System, where she |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | discovered a passion for public service; she plans to pursue a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | law degree with a focus in health law; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby commend Elizabeth Stevenson for her service |

| 30 | 30 | | as a legislative intern in the office of State Senator Donna |

| 31 | 31 | | Campbell and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
