| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | commemorates the life of Stephany J. Bryan, who died February 14, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 2021, at the age of 64; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Stephany Bryan was born October 31, 1956; she |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | forged a rewarding life of purpose by helping to strengthen |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | families through her tireless advocacy and mentorship in the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | field of mental health; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Stephany Bryan served as senior program officer |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and consumer and family liaison for the Hogg Foundation for 13 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | years; during her tenure she touched the lives of colleagues and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | consumers across many areas of mental health and recovery, and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | her work was integral to the success of numerous Hogg Foundation |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | initiatives and programs; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, She was a true champion for those in need of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | effective mental health services; she candidly shared her own |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | recovery story, and she motivated and inspired others in her |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | field to be unapologetic in their advocacy and in their delivery |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | of care and support; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Admired for her passion, her tenacity, and her |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | authenticity, Stephany Bryan easily connected with those around |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | her, especially with those struggling with inequities; she |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | engaged in life with compassion and vigor, and she will long be |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | remembered with profound respect and admiration by the many who |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | were privileged to share in her life; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | family of Stephany J. Bryan; and, be it further |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |

| 33 | 33 | | her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
