| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends of Corbin Thomas Stiefer are |

| 6 | 6 | | deeply saddened by his passing on January 13, 2021, at the age of |

| 7 | 7 | | 21; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of Carys and Jeff Stiefer, Corbin Stiefer |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | was born on March 22, 1999, in Tyler, and he grew up with the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | companionship of a sister, Darcy; he attended Robert E. Lee High |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | School, where he participated in the marching band, jazz band, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and National Honor Society; a young man of faith, he was a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | congregant of Glenwood Church of Christ, and he participated in |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the Upward Sports program; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, After graduating with honors in 2017, Mr. Stiefer |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | went on to study history at Abilene Christian University; dedicated |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | to his campus community, he was a senator in the ACU Student |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Government Association, a historian for the Men of Galaxy |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Fraternity, and a member of the ACU Foundation a cappella group; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Although the loss of one so full of promise brings |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | immeasurable heartache, those Corbin Stiefer leaves behind will |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | forever cherish the precious years they shared with this beloved |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | young man; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby honor the memory of Corbin Thomas Stiefer and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | parents, Carys and Jeff Stiefer; to his sister, Darcy Stiefer; to |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | his grandparents, Dewayne and Cynthia Manning, Mary Busby, and Lola |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Stiefer; to his uncles and aunts, Darren Manning, Matt and Penny |
