1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 82
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	3	recognize the state's grocery store employees for their
4	4	exceptional efforts during the historic February 2021 winter
5	5	storm; and
6	6	WHEREAS, When the massive winter storm hit Texas, much of
7	7	the state was left without power for nearly a week, and citizens
8	8	across Texas faced serious food and water shortages; and
9	9	WHEREAS, The state's grocery store workers have spent
10	10	nearly a full year bravely serving Texans in the face of their own
11	11	personal risk during the COVID-19 pandemic, and their efforts
12	12	during the massive winter storm were a continuation of their
13	13	selfless service to their communities; and
14	14	WHEREAS, Texas grocery store workers were a vital part of
15	15	the state's response to the devastating 2021 winter storm, and
16	16	they truly deserve special recognition for their invaluable
17	17	services to the public; now, therefore, be it
18	18	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
19	19	Legislature, hereby extend heartfelt gratitude to the grocery
20	20	store employees for their hard work and countless contributions
21	21	to the people of Texas; and, be it further
22	22	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
23	23	their honor.
