9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 2051, Government Code, as | |
11 | 11 | redesignated from Subchapter E, Chapter 2051, Government Code, by | |
12 | 12 | H.B. 1154 and H.B. 3607, Acts of the 87th Legislature, Regular | |
13 | 13 | Session, 2021, and as effective September 1, 2021, is amended by | |
14 | 14 | adding Section 2051.203 to read as follows: | |
15 | 15 | Sec. 2051.203. REQUIRED POSTING OF NOTICE. (a) In this | |
16 | 16 | section "governmental entity" has the meaning assigned by Section | |
17 | 17 | 2051.041. | |
18 | 18 | (b) A governmental entity shall post in a prominent location | |
19 | 19 | on the home page of the entity's Internet website: | |
20 | 20 | (1) each emergency notification issued by the entity; | |
21 | 21 | and | |
22 | 22 | (2) any other official notice issued by the entity, | |
23 | 23 | including notices regarding the entity's ability or inability to | |
24 | 24 | provide services the entity normally provides to the public. | |
25 | 25 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect December 1, 2021. |
