66 AN ACT
77 relating to payments made to certain foster parents.
88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Section 264.101, Family Code, is amended by
1010 adding Subsection (a-3) to read as follows:
1111 (a-3) In addition to the daily foster care reimbursement
1212 rate paid to a foster parent under this section, the department
1313 shall pay an additional amount equal to 40 percent of the daily
1414 foster care reimbursement rate paid to the foster parent if the
1515 foster parent:
1616 (1) cares for a foster child who is 16 years of age or
1717 younger; and
1818 (2) has an adjusted household income at or below 150
1919 percent of the current federal poverty guidelines for the relevant
2020 household size.
2121 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect on the 91st day after the
2222 last day of the legislative session.
