| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 2.025(a), Election Code, is amended to | |

| 11 | 11 | (a) Except as provided by Subsection (d) or as otherwise | |
| 12 | 12 | provided by this code, a runoff election shall be held on the sixth | |
| 13 | 13 | Saturday [not earlier than the 20th or later than the 45th day] | |
| 14 | 14 | after the date [the final canvass] of the main election [is | |
| 15 | 15 | completed]. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. Section 2.025(b), Election Code, is repealed. | |
