55 R E S O L U T I O N
66 WHEREAS, The thousands of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Texas
77 have created a tremendous void in families, communities, and
88 workplaces throughout the state; among those who lost their lives
99 in the pandemic was Rebecca Adauto Crowe, a dedicated and
1010 well-respected employee of the Texas Department of Criminal
1111 Justice, who passed away on January 1, 2021, at the age of 73; and
1212 WHEREAS, Ms. Crowe was admired for her strength of character
1313 and her unfailing generosity; she was devoted to her family, which
1414 included her sons, Michael Crowe and the late Chris Crowe, her
1515 daughter-in-law, Melissa, her siblings, Olga, Julie, and Benny, and
1616 her favorite niece, Julie Adauto-Day; she pursued many hobbies and
1717 interests, which included gardening, creating stained glass art
1818 pieces, welding, and doing other projects around the home; over the
1919 past year, she had worked at the Victoria District Parole Office,
2020 where she endeared herself to her colleagues and made a lasting
2121 impression on everyone; and
2222 WHEREAS, Rebecca Crowe faithfully and ably performed her
2323 duties throughout her tenure with the Texas Department of Criminal
2424 Justice, and she will long be remembered with great admiration by
2525 all who were privileged to know her; now, therefore, be it
2626 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2727 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
2828 Rebecca Adauto Crowe and extend deepest sympathy to her family,
2929 friends, and colleagues; and, be it further
3030 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3131 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
3232 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rebecca
3333 Crowe.
