55 R E S O L U T I O N
66 WHEREAS, The thousands of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Texas
77 have created a tremendous void in families, communities, and
88 workplaces throughout the state; among those who lost their lives
99 in the pandemic was Troy Morin, a dedicated and well-respected
1010 employee of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, who passed
1111 away on February 23, 2021, at the age of 53; and
1212 WHEREAS, Mr. Morin worked for two years at the San Antonio
1313 Parole Office, and in all his endeavors, he enjoyed the love and
1414 support of his family, which includes his parents, two sisters, and
1515 three children; on the job, he was known for his outstanding work
1616 ethic and willingness to help anyone in need, and his coworkers
1717 appreciated his friendly conversation and wonderful sense of humor;
1818 and
1919 WHEREAS, Troy Morin faithfully and ably performed his duties
2020 throughout his tenure with the Texas Department of Criminal
2121 Justice, and he will long be remembered with great admiration by all
2222 who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it
2323 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2424 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
2525 Troy Morin and extend deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and
2626 colleagues; and, be it further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
2929 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Troy Morin.
