5	5	R E S O L U T I O N
6	6	WHEREAS, The thousands of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Texas
7	7	have created a tremendous void in families, communities, and
8	8	workplaces throughout the state; among those who lost their lives
9	9	in the pandemic was Troy Morin, a dedicated and well-respected
10	10	employee of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, who passed
11	11	away on February 23, 2021, at the age of 53; and
12	12	WHEREAS, Mr. Morin worked for two years at the San Antonio
13	13	Parole Office, and in all his endeavors, he enjoyed the love and
14	14	support of his family, which includes his parents, two sisters, and
15	15	three children; on the job, he was known for his outstanding work
16	16	ethic and willingness to help anyone in need, and his coworkers
17	17	appreciated his friendly conversation and wonderful sense of humor;
18	18	and
19	19	WHEREAS, Troy Morin faithfully and ably performed his duties
20	20	throughout his tenure with the Texas Department of Criminal
21	21	Justice, and he will long be remembered with great admiration by all
22	22	who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it
23	23	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
24	24	Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
25	25	Troy Morin and extend deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and
26	26	colleagues; and, be it further
27	27	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
28	28	prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
29	29	Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Troy Morin.
