66 AN ACT
77 relating to the return of certain ballots.
88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Section 86.006, Election Code, is amended by
1010 amending Subsection (a-1) and adding Subsection (a-2) to read as
1111 follows:
1212 (a-1) The voter may deliver a marked ballot in person to the
1313 early voting clerk's office or to another designated location
1414 [only] while the polls are open on election day or during the early
1515 voting period. A voter who delivers a marked ballot in person must
1616 present an acceptable form of identification described by Section
1717 63.0101.
1818 (a-2) The early voting clerk may designate any number of
1919 suitable locations for in-person delivery of ballots.
2020 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect on the 91st day after the
2121 last day of the legislative session.
