| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 86.006, Election Code, is amended by | |
| 10 | 10 | amending Subsection (a-1) and adding Subsection (a-2) to read as | |
| 11 | 11 | follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a-1) The voter may deliver a marked ballot in person to the | |
| 13 | 13 | early voting clerk's office or to another designated location | |
| 14 | 14 | [only] while the polls are open on election day or during the early | |
| 15 | 15 | voting period. A voter who delivers a marked ballot in person must | |
| 16 | 16 | present an acceptable form of identification described by Section | |
| 17 | 17 | 63.0101. | |
| 18 | 18 | (a-2) The early voting clerk may designate any number of | |
| 19 | 19 | suitable locations for in-person delivery of ballots. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect on the 91st day after the | |
| 21 | 21 | last day of the legislative session. |
