4	4	Laurinda Denise Robinson-Harris
5	5	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
6	6	commemorates the life of Laurinda Denise Robinson-Harris, who
7	7	died July 11, 2021, at the age of 64; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Laurinda Robinson-Harris was born on March 24,
9	9	1957, in Austin, to Ben Arthur Robinson Sr. and Lillie Laura
10	10	Humphreys-Robinson; she graduated from Austin High School in
11	11	1975, and she attended Southwest Texas State University before
12	12	earning a degree in marketing from Saint Edward's University; and
13	13	WHEREAS, She enjoyed a productive career as a buyer for 3M
14	14	Corporation, Dell Computers, and the City of Austin; her
15	15	community activities included membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha
16	16	Sorority, Incorporated, and in the Town Lake Chapter of The
17	17	Links, Incorporated; and
18	18	WHEREAS, She and her beloved husband of 39 years,
19	19	Dr. Bergeron Harris, were blessed with two sons, Chandler and
20	20	Cameron; her grandson, Kellan, was a source of much pride and joy
21	21	for her; and
22	22	WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practiced her faith in her
23	23	daily life, she was a longtime member of Simpson United Methodist
24	24	Church in Austin; and
25	25	WHEREAS, Laurinda was a woman of grace and style and was
26	26	known for her joyful personality, her radiant smile, her caring
27	27	spirit, and her enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest;
28	28	and
29	29	WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother,
30	30	and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by
31	31	her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
32	32	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
33	33	Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere
34	34	condolences to the bereaved family of Laurinda Denise
35	35	Robinson-Harris; and, be it further
36	36	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
37	37	her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
38	38	Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
39	39	memory of Laurinda Robinson-Harris.
