| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | passing of Robert Ramirez of San Antonio on July 6, 2021, at the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | age of 88; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Bob Ramirez was born in San Antonio on September |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 7, 1932, to Robert and Mercedes Ramirez, and he grew up with the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | companionship of three siblings; answering his nation's call to |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | duty, he joined the United States Air Force and served during the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Korean War; after returning to civilian life, he went on to |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | become a successful business owner; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Ramirez enjoyed the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | love and support of his wife, Rose, with whom he shared a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | rewarding union that spanned more than five decades; he took |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | great pride in their son, Robert, and with the passing years, he |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | was further blessed with two grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Deeply dedicated to his family, his faith, and his |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | country, Bob Ramirez earned the lasting respect and admiration of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | all who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | of Robert Ramirez and extend sincere condolences to the members |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | of his family: to his wife, Rose; to his son, Robert, and his |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | wife, Laura; to his grandchildren; to his sister, Ester; and to |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | his other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |

| 29 | 29 | | prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns |
