| 9 | 9 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 10 | | SECTION 1. Sections 478.0001(3) and (7), Government Code, |

| 11 | 11 | | as amended by H.B. 1472, H.B. 3607, S.B. 1155, and S.B. 1265, Acts |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | of the 87th Legislature, Regular Session, 2021, and effective |

| 13 | 13 | | September 1, 2021, are reenacted and amended to read as follows: |

| 152 | 152 | | determination under Section 478.0102 for an event described by |

| 153 | 153 | | Section 478.0001(3)(J) or (FF) [478.0001(3)(H)], the remaining |

| 154 | 154 | | provisions of this chapter apply to that event as if the event |

| 155 | 155 | | satisfied the eligibility requirements under Section |

| 156 | 156 | | 478.0051(b)(1). |

| 157 | 157 | | SECTION 3. If this Act receives a vote of two-thirds of all |
|---|
| 158 | 158 | | the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, |
|---|
| 159 | 159 | | Article III, Texas Constitution, this Act takes effect on the first |
|---|
| 160 | 160 | | day that occurs after August 31, 2021, and is on or after the |
|---|
| 161 | 161 | | earliest date on which this Act may take effect. If this Act does |
|---|
| 162 | 162 | | not receive the vote necessary for effect on that date, this Act |
|---|
| 163 | 163 | | takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the legislative |
|---|
| 164 | 164 | | session. |
