A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the members of the governing body of an independent
organization certified for the ERCOT power region.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 39.1513(d), Utilities Code, is amended
to read as follows:
(d) The committee shall select members eligible under
Section 39.151 to serve on the governing body of an independent
organization certified under that section for the ERCOT power
region and shall designate the chair and vice chair of the governing
body from those members. When selecting members to serve on the
governing body, the committee shall ensure that the governing body
includes members who represent the various geographic regions of
this state.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect on the 91st day after the
last day of the legislative session.
