77 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
88 SECTION 1. Section 10, Article III, Texas Constitution, is
99 amended to read as follows:
1010 Sec. 10. QUORUM; ADJOURNMENTS FROM DAY TO DAY; COMPELLING
1111 ATTENDANCE. A majority [Two-thirds] of the members of each House of
1212 the Legislature shall constitute a quorum to do business, but a
1313 smaller number may adjourn from day to day, and compel the
1414 attendance of absent members, in such manner and under such
1515 penalties as each House may provide.
1616 SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be
1717 submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 2, 2021.
1818 The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the
1919 proposition: "The constitutional amendment to provide that a
2020 majority of the members of the senate or house of representatives of
2121 the Texas Legislature constitutes a quorum for that house to do
2222 business."
