| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The BIZPAC political networking organization has |

|---|
| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Founded by executive chair Joseph L. Trahan in 2019, |

| 10 | 11 | | BIZPAC boasts a membership that includes patent holders, |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | innovators, scientific and medical professionals, captains of |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | industry, and other leading performers in their fields; as a |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | unified voice for like-minded business owners, the group advocates |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | for effective public policy to sustain a robust statewide economy; |
|---|

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, One of Mr. Trahan's key achievements has been the |

| 17 | 18 | | establishment of a Young Professionals Association within the |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | organization, through which members under the age of 40 are |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | provided mentorship on good governance, citizen activism, and civic |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | responsibility by seasoned business owners and industry leaders; |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | the program has led to several BIZPAC members running for municipal |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | and state offices and being appointed to important positions to |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | better serve their communities; in addition, Mr. Trahan and his |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | fellow members have been active in charitable endeavors, helping |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | secure support for wounded veterans and raising scholarship funds |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | for graduating high school seniors; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, BIZPAC's leadership team also includes Dr. Elias |

| 28 | 29 | | Jackson of Vyripharm Biopharmaceuticals, the group's science and |

| 29 | 30 | | medical affairs chair; a worldwide patent holder in the |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Jackson has served as a resource for |

| 31 | 32 | | legislators, legislative staff, and state agencies during the 87th |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | Texas Legislature; and |
|---|
| 33 | 34 | | WHEREAS, Another key member of BIZPAC is Mark Goloby, the |
|---|
| 34 | 35 | | school board and curriculum chair, who has encouraged Texans to be |
|---|
| 35 | 36 | | actively involved with their local school districts and to be |
|---|
| 36 | 37 | | better informed about educational issues and school funding |
|---|

| 38 | 39 | | WHEREAS, Through their dedicated service, Joseph Trahan, |

| 39 | 40 | | Dr. Elias Jackson, and Mark Goloby have furthered the worthwhile |

| 40 | 41 | | mission of BIZPAC, and their accomplishments are helping to |

| 41 | 42 | | maintain the prosperity of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be |
