| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |

| 6 | 7 | | of Felipe Salazar Jr. of Robstown, who passed away on May 16, 2021, |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Robstown on October 20, 1933, Felipe Salazar |

| 9 | 10 | | was the son of Felipe Salazar Sr. and Dolores Martinez Salazar, and |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | he grew up with the companionship of six siblings, Esperanza, |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Ricardo, Tomasa, Ninfa, Olga, and Jessie; answering his nation's |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | call to duty, he served in the United States Air Force; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Salazar benefited from the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | love and support of his wife, Aurora, with whom he shared a |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | rewarding union that spanned 55 years; he took great pride in his |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | three sons, Felipe, Rene, and Roland, and with the passing years, he |

| 17 | 18 | | had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to include numerous |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, A devoted Catholic, Mr. Salazar was a member of |

| 20 | 21 | | St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Mary's Mission, the Federation of |

| 21 | 22 | | Guadalupanos, and the Knights of Columbus; in his leisure hours, he |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | enjoyed fishing; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this treasured |

| 24 | 25 | | man's love and friendship will always remember him with great |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |

| 28 | 29 | | Felipe Salazar Jr. and extend sincere condolences to the members of |

| 29 | 30 | | his family: to his wife, Aurora O. Salazar; to his children, Felipe |
