45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Sharon Ann Thompson of
67 Kyle were deeply saddened by her passing on October 23, 2020, at the
78 age of 72; and
89 WHEREAS, The daughter of Edmund Mueller and Mildred Huck
910 Mueller, the former Sharon Mueller was born in Cuero on October 13,
1011 1948, and grew up with a brother, Gary, and two sisters, Sandra and
1112 Lerna; she graduated from Nordheim High School and attended
1213 Nixon-Clay Business College in Austin; for many years, she worked
1314 as a secretary and in office supervisory positions; calm and
1415 caring, she was always ready to lend colleagues a sympathetic ear,
1516 and she never had a cross word for anyone; she received the Superior
1617 Service Award from Texas A&M University during her time as
1718 assistant office manager of a Texas A&M AgriLife District Office;
1819 and
1920 WHEREAS, She married Jeff Thompson in December 1979, and she
2021 provided steadfast support in his work as pastor of Lutheran
2122 congregations in Nordheim, Runge, Fredericksburg, Robstown, Cuero,
2223 and Wimberley; devoted to her family, she was the proud mother of
2324 six children, Barbara, Bruce, Brian, Brent, Jennifer, and
2425 Christopher; she was eventually blessed with eight grandchildren,
2526 Christen, Cody, David, Jessica, Tristan, Elizabeth, Ethne, and Sam,
2627 and two great-grandchildren, Taryn and Levi; in her free time, she
2728 enjoyed reading, gardening, and crocheting; and
2829 WHEREAS, Sharon Thompson possessed a generosity of spirit
2930 that expressed itself in myriad ways, and she enriched the lives of
3031 countless people with her warmth and kindness; now, therefore, be
3132 it
3233 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
3334 Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
3435 Sharon Ann Thompson and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn
3536 her passing; and, be it further
3637 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3738 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
3839 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sharon
3940 Thompson.
