66 WHEREAS, The Cenikor Foundation, a nonprofit organization
77 dedicated to helping clients break free from drug and alcohol
88 addiction, is celebrating the 55th anniversary of its founding in
99 2021; and
1010 WHEREAS, Operating at nearly a dozen locations throughout the
1111 state of Texas, the Cenikor Foundation administers adult and youth
1212 recovery programs that are certified by the Commission on
1313 Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities; its spectrum of care
1414 includes prevention services, short-term residential treatment,
1515 outpatient treatment, detoxification services, and a new sober
1616 living program, which provide clients with various ways to work
1717 toward long-term sobriety while also accommodating their schedules
1818 and individual needs; and
1919 WHEREAS, Last year, the Cenikor Foundation served more than
2020 2,000 people in the Corpus Christi Community; its Corpus Christi
2121 facility offers inpatient and outpatient detox, prevention, and
2222 recovery programs, as well as short-term residential care; and
2323 WHEREAS, For over half a century, the Cenikor Foundation has
2424 been a critical lifeline for thousands of Texans, including many
2525 Corpus Christi residents, and this anniversary celebration
2626 presents a welcome opportunity to recognize a truly commendable
2727 organization; now, therefore, be it
2828 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2929 Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate the Cenikor
3030 Foundation on its 55th anniversary and extend to its staff and
3131 clients sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
3232 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3333 prepared for the Cenikor Foundation facility in Corpus Christi as
3434 an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
