| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Cenikor Foundation, a nonprofit organization |

| 7 | 7 | | dedicated to helping clients break free from drug and alcohol |

| 8 | 8 | | addiction, is celebrating the 55th anniversary of its founding in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 2021; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Operating at nearly a dozen locations throughout the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | state of Texas, the Cenikor Foundation administers adult and youth |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | recovery programs that are certified by the Commission on |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities; its spectrum of care |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | includes prevention services, short-term residential treatment, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | outpatient treatment, detoxification services, and a new sober |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | living program, which provide clients with various ways to work |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | toward long-term sobriety while also accommodating their schedules |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and individual needs; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Last year, the Cenikor Foundation served more than |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 2,000 people in the Corpus Christi Community; its Corpus Christi |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | facility offers inpatient and outpatient detox, prevention, and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | recovery programs, as well as short-term residential care; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, For over half a century, the Cenikor Foundation has |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | been a critical lifeline for thousands of Texans, including many |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Corpus Christi residents, and this anniversary celebration |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | presents a welcome opportunity to recognize a truly commendable |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | organization; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate the Cenikor |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Foundation on its 55th anniversary and extend to its staff and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | clients sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |

| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |

| 33 | 33 | | prepared for the Cenikor Foundation facility in Corpus Christi as |
