| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The thousands of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Texas |

| 6 | 7 | | have created a tremendous void in families, communities, and |

| 7 | 8 | | workplaces throughout the state; among those who lost their lives |

| 8 | 9 | | in the pandemic was Dorothy Sue Caylor, a dedicated and |

| 9 | 10 | | well-respected employee of the Texas Department of Criminal |

| 10 | 11 | | Justice, who passed away on December 17, 2020, at the age of 62; and |

| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Caylor was born in Dallas on June 12, 1958; |

| 12 | 13 | | she worked for West Georgia National Bank for 19 years, before |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | returning to Texas and beginning her 15-year career with the Texas |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Department of Criminal Justice; she married William Caylor on |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | December 23, 2006, and her treasured family included her daughter, |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Jamie, her two stepdaughters, Tonya and Crystal, and her four |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Since 2005, Ms. Caylor had worked as a human |

| 19 | 20 | | resources specialist at the Roach Unit in Childress; she enjoyed a |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | warm rapport with her colleagues, and she was known for her love of |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | people, particularly children, and her affinity for baking; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Dorothy Caylor faithfully and ably performed her |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | duties throughout her tenure with the Texas Department of Criminal |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | Justice, and she will long be remembered with great admiration by |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | all who were privileged to know her; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |

| 28 | 29 | | Dorothy Sue Caylor and extend deepest sympathy to her family, |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | friends, and colleagues; and, be it further |

| 30 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
