45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, The thousands of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Texas
67 have created a tremendous void in families, communities, and
78 workplaces throughout the state; among those who lost their lives
89 in the pandemic was Troy Morin, a dedicated and well-respected
910 employee of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, who passed
1011 away on February 23, 2021, at the age of 53; and
1112 WHEREAS, Mr. Morin worked for two years at the San Antonio
1213 Parole Office, and in all his endeavors, he enjoyed the love and
1314 support of his family, which includes his parents, two sisters, and
1415 three children; on the job, he was known for his outstanding work
1516 ethic and willingness to help anyone in need, and his coworkers
1617 appreciated his friendly conversation and wonderful sense of humor;
1718 and
1819 WHEREAS, Troy Morin faithfully and ably performed his duties
1920 throughout his tenure with the Texas Department of Criminal
2021 Justice, and he will long be remembered with great admiration by all
2122 who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it
2223 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2324 Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
2425 Troy Morin and extend deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and
2526 colleagues; and, be it further
2627 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2728 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
2829 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Troy Morin.
