| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The thousands of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Texas |

| 6 | 7 | | have created a tremendous void in families, communities, and |

| 7 | 8 | | workplaces throughout the state; among those who lost their lives |

| 8 | 9 | | in the pandemic was Troy Morin, a dedicated and well-respected |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | employee of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, who passed |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | away on February 23, 2021, at the age of 53; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Morin worked for two years at the San Antonio |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Parole Office, and in all his endeavors, he enjoyed the love and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | support of his family, which includes his parents, two sisters, and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | three children; on the job, he was known for his outstanding work |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | ethic and willingness to help anyone in need, and his coworkers |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | appreciated his friendly conversation and wonderful sense of humor; |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Troy Morin faithfully and ably performed his duties |

| 19 | 20 | | throughout his tenure with the Texas Department of Criminal |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Justice, and he will long be remembered with great admiration by all |

| 21 | 22 | | who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 23 | 24 | | Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |

| 24 | 25 | | Troy Morin and extend deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and |

| 25 | 26 | | colleagues; and, be it further |
