| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Menita Thakare has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 6 | 7 | | an intern in the office of State Representative Jacey Jetton during |

| 7 | 8 | | the summer of 2021; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Thakare has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A student at Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, |

| 14 | 15 | | Ms. Thakare has been a member of the National Honor Society, the |

| 15 | 16 | | Future Business Leaders of America, and the photography club, which |

| 16 | 17 | | she currently serves as president; in addition, she has supported |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | the Cinco Ranch girls' basketball squad as team manager, and since |

| 18 | 19 | | 2013 she has performed as a senior company dancer with the Rhythm |

| 19 | 20 | | India Indo-Fusion and Bollywood Dance Company; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has carried out her |

| 21 | 22 | | duties as an intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |

| 22 | 23 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Menita Thakare for |
