| 4 | 4 | | PricewaterhouseCoopers; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Tom Codd served with skill and dedication at |

| 6 | 6 | | PricewaterhouseCoopers for nearly four decades; his wide range |

| 7 | 7 | | of leadership roles in the company included serving as the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | managing partner of North Texas, the US Human Capital Leader, and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | the US Fit for Growth managing partner; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, A certified public accountant and financial |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | expert, he advised numerous Fortune 500 companies with a primary |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | focus on industrial products, manufacturing, and technology; his |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | success in serving private equity clients and his exceptional |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | skills in the areas of human resources, governance, and strategy |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | played an important role in the company's accomplishments; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Codd is also noted for his leadership in the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | field of philanthropy; he has served on the boards of charitable |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and civic organizations across North Texas, including The |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Catholic Foundation, the American Ireland Fund, the Boys and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Girls Clubs of America, the Cooper Institute, Cristo Rey Dallas, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | the Bishop Dunne School, and Catholic Charities Dallas; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, A highly regarded business executive and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | community advocate, he is a source of inspiration to others, and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | it is truly fitting that he receive special recognition for his |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | exceptional achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Thomas W. Codd on |

| 28 | 28 | | his many contributions to PricewaterhouseCoopers and to his |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | community and extend to him best wishes for continued success in |
