| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Andrews Distributing Company was founded by Barry |

| 6 | 6 | | Andrews on February 6, 1976, in Corpus Christi; the company began |

| 7 | 7 | | with 11 team members and offered only two brands of beer from a |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | single brewery; it sold 276,000 cases of beer in its first year; |

|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Today, the company employs more than 1,500 team |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | members, offers more than 700 brands of beer to its customers, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and sells more than 35 million cases of beer each year; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Known for its commitment to creating an |

| 14 | 14 | | outstanding work environment, the company has long been at the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | forefront of innovation in its field; Mr. Andrews pioneered the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | concept of multibranded distributors, which is now the industry |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | standard, and the company recently introduced ShopBeer, a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | convenient and easy-to-use online ordering application; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, For 45 years, Andrews Distributing Company has |

| 20 | 20 | | been a leader in the beer industry, and the company is truly |

| 21 | 21 | | deserving of special recognition as it reaches this milestone in |

| 22 | 22 | | its history; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend the executives, |

| 25 | 25 | | management, and staff of Andrews Distributing Company on their |

| 26 | 26 | | commitment to providing quality products and service and extend |
