| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Arlington Independent School District is |

| 6 | 7 | | conducting its annual Operation Graduation initiative to increase |

| 7 | 8 | | the graduation rate of area high school students; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Each year, Arlington ISD staff and volunteers visit |

| 9 | 10 | | the homes of students who have been absent for an extended period of |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | time in order to encourage them to return and earn their diplomas; |

| 11 | 12 | | district representatives also offer information about the support |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | services and flexible learning options that are available to assist |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | them in graduating; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Arlington ISD is committed to providing every |

| 15 | 16 | | student with a positive learning experience and the tools to |

| 16 | 17 | | graduate and succeed in life, and Operation Graduation is helping |

| 17 | 18 | | to set many young Texans on the path to a bright and rewarding |

| 18 | 19 | | future; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 20 | 21 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commemorate the Arlington |

| 21 | 22 | | Independent School District's annual Operation Graduation |

| 22 | 23 | | initiative and extend to all those associated with the program |
