45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, The retirement of Henry F. Lewczyk Jr. as senior
67 vice president of the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce in 2021
78 provides a fitting opportunity to recognize his notable
89 accomplishments; and
910 WHEREAS, Since his appointment as senior vice president of
1011 the chamber a decade ago, Mr. Lewczyk has overseen member benefits
1112 and services and has acted as a liaison between the organization and
1213 major investors; he has helped to increase the diversity of the
1314 chamber's membership through the establishment of the Latino
1415 Business Group and the Asian and Veterans Business Councils, and he
1516 has played a vital role in guiding the organization through the
1617 unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic; this esteemed
1718 professional also benefits his community as a member of the boards
1819 of Leadership Arlington and the Junior League of Arlington; and
1920 WHEREAS, Mr. Lewczyk previously served as vice president of
2021 marketing for the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America, and
2122 for more than 30 years, he enjoyed a successful career in
2223 advertising; in addition, he was an adjunct professor at Southern
2324 Methodist University; he holds a bachelor's degree from Duquesne
2425 University, and he was awarded an honorary MBA by the University of
2526 North Texas; and
2627 WHEREAS, Through his dedication, expertise, and commitment
2728 to excellence, Henry Lewczyk has earned the respect and admiration
2829 of his colleagues and fellow citizens alike, and his contributions
2930 to the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce will continue to
3031 resonate in the community for years to come; now, therefore, be it
3132 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
3233 Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Henry
3334 F. Lewczyk Jr. on his retirement as senior vice president of the
3435 Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce and extend to him sincere
3536 appreciation for his service; and, be it further
3637 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3738 prepared for Mr. Lewczyk as an expression of high regard by the
3839 Texas House of Representatives.
