| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Briana Gonzalez has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 6 | 7 | | an intern in the office of State Representative Jim Murphy in |

| 7 | 8 | | October 2021 during the 87th Legislature, 3rd Called Session; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of her internship, Ms. Gonzalez has |

| 9 | 10 | | provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | administrative tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | the field of public service, she has learned more about the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | State; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Gonzalez is a senior at Rowlett High School, |

| 15 | 16 | | where she serves as chaplain of the choir and is a member of the |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Rowlett Student Vocal Performers, the National Honor Society, and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; she is also a valued |

| 18 | 19 | | congregant of The Northeast Church in Garland and participates in |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | the worship team at True Life Church in Mesquite; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 21 | 22 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |

| 22 | 23 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Briana Gonzalez for |
