45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, The members of BRIDGE Fort Worth have worked
67 tirelessly to promote leadership and civic engagement among Black
78 professionals; and
89 WHEREAS, BRIDGE, which stands for Black Resourceful
910 Innovators Developing Generations of Excellence, is a nonprofit
1011 organization that provides emerging leaders with opportunities for
1112 professional development, community involvement, and education;
1213 members also work to encourage entrepreneurship and to address
1314 disparities in literacy, civic participation, and health and
1415 wellness; and
1516 WHEREAS, The organization is ably led by president Dimanche
1617 Brewer and further benefits from the dedicated efforts of its
1718 executive board; and
1819 WHEREAS, The members of BRIDGE Fort Worth have demonstrated a
1920 strong commitment to strengthening their community, and their
2021 willingness to give of their time and energy sets an outstanding
2122 example of citizenship to which others may aspire; now, therefore,
2223 be it
2324 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2425 Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend BRIDGE Fort Worth
2526 for its contributions to the community and extend to its members
2627 sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
2728 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2829 prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
2930 Texas House of Representatives.
