 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Mallory Fuller, a Fairfield native who was recently
 crowned Miss Texas 2021, has distinguished herself as a young woman
 of exceptional compassion and character; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Fuller began following in the footsteps of her
 two older sisters, Morgan and Madison, when she made her pageant
 debut with the Miss Texas organization; she has been competing for
 Miss Texas Outstanding Teen and Miss Texas titles for a total of 17
 years, and on June 25, 2021, she took home her first state title
 when she was crowned Miss Texas; and
 WHEREAS, In her role as Miss Texas, Ms. Fuller will attend
 speaking engagements across the state to discuss important topics
 such as education, community service, and women's empowerment; her
 platform will also allow her the opportunity to share about the
 Texas Cares for Children program, and she has adopted suicide
 prevention as her personal advocacy initiative; in 2015, she
 testified to the Texas Senate in behalf of the Jason Flatt Act, a
 law that makes it mandatory for educators to receive annual suicide
 prevention training; in addition, she has founded a suicide
 prevention program called Mallory's Mission, and she is the author
 of a children's book, Henry's Happy Heart, which she created to help
 families start conversations about mental health; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Fuller is a graduate of Texas A&M University,
 where she received her bachelor's degree in communication; she is
 currently working toward a master's degree in communication
 sciences and disorders at Baylor University, with plans to pursue a
 career in speech pathology; and
 WHEREAS, Mallory Fuller has proven herself to be a deserving
 recipient of the Miss Texas crown and an inspiring ambassador for
 the Lone Star State, and the hard work, determination, and
 perseverance that she has demonstrated in attaining this goal are
 certain to serve her well in her future endeavors; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
 Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Mallory
 Fuller on being named Miss Texas 2021 and extend to her sincere best
 wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Fuller as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
