| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Mallory Fuller, a Fairfield native who was recently |

| 6 | 7 | | crowned Miss Texas 2021, has distinguished herself as a young woman |
|---|
| 7 | 8 | | of exceptional compassion and character; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Fuller began following in the footsteps of her |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | two older sisters, Morgan and Madison, when she made her pageant |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | debut with the Miss Texas organization; she has been competing for |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Miss Texas Outstanding Teen and Miss Texas titles for a total of 17 |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | years, and on June 25, 2021, she took home her first state title |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | when she was crowned Miss Texas; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In her role as Miss Texas, Ms. Fuller will attend |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | speaking engagements across the state to discuss important topics |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | such as education, community service, and women's empowerment; her |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | platform will also allow her the opportunity to share about the |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Texas Cares for Children program, and she has adopted suicide |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | prevention as her personal advocacy initiative; in 2015, she |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | testified to the Texas Senate in behalf of the Jason Flatt Act, a |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | law that makes it mandatory for educators to receive annual suicide |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | prevention training; in addition, she has founded a suicide |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | prevention program called Mallory's Mission, and she is the author |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | of a children's book, Henry's Happy Heart, which she created to help |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | families start conversations about mental health; and |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Fuller is a graduate of Texas A&M University, |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | where she received her bachelor's degree in communication; she is |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | currently working toward a master's degree in communication |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | sciences and disorders at Baylor University, with plans to pursue a |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | career in speech pathology; and |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Mallory Fuller has proven herself to be a deserving |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | recipient of the Miss Texas crown and an inspiring ambassador for |
|---|
| 33 | 34 | | the Lone Star State, and the hard work, determination, and |
|---|
| 34 | 35 | | perseverance that she has demonstrated in attaining this goal are |

| 35 | 36 | | certain to serve her well in her future endeavors; now, therefore, |
