| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Grace Pierson retired as executive assistant with |

| 6 | 7 | | the Dumas Economic Development Corporation on September 30, 2021, |

| 7 | 8 | | drawing to a close an exemplary tenure that spanned two decades; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, In 2001, Ms. Pierson joined the Dumas EDC, and over |

| 9 | 10 | | the course of her career, she worked with three executive directors |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | and 29 board members; along the way, she earned the respect and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | admiration of her colleagues for her keen attention to detail and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | her varied expertise; her many responsibilities included |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | bookkeeping, daily business operations, coordinating meetings, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | preparing reports, and interacting with clients; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Pierson has been a charismatic ambassador for |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Dumas, and she was involved in the creation of more than 1,000 new |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | jobs and $200 million in capital investments; in addition, she |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | skillfully managed the Dumas Community Grant Program, and she |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | played an instrumental role in tracking and maintaining the Dumas |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | EDC budget and finances; she is a graduate of the Dumas Leadership |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | Program; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, In her retirement, Ms. Pierson plans to spend more |

| 23 | 24 | | time with her husband, Dale, as well as with her other relatives and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | friends; a woman of strong faith, she also looks forward to finding |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | new opportunities to serve others; and |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Grace Pierson's dedication, professionalism, and |

| 27 | 28 | | commitment to excellence have greatly benefited the residents of |

| 28 | 29 | | Dumas, and she may indeed reflect with pride on her many |

| 29 | 30 | | accomplishments as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her |
