56 WHEREAS, Hannah Villarreal-Salinas of Moe and Gene Johnson
67 High School in Buda earned great distinction by turning in an
78 exceptional performance at the Educators Rising 2021 National
89 Conference; and
910 WHEREAS, Educators Rising is a student-led grassroots
1011 movement with chapters in every state; by coordinating efforts with
1112 state departments of education and local organizations, the
1213 initiative is cultivating a new generation of diverse and highly
1314 motivated educators by guiding youth toward careers in teaching; in
1415 the Lone Star State, Educators Rising is affiliated with the Texas
1516 Association of Future Educators, a nonprofit created in 1984 that
1617 assists middle school and high school pupils in exploring the
1718 teaching profession; and
1819 WHEREAS, Joining students from around the country at the
1920 national conference, Hannah Villarreal-Salinas placed first in the
2021 Exploring Non-Core Subject Teaching Careers competition; and
2122 WHEREAS, Hannah Villarreal-Salinas has demonstrated
2223 exemplary skill and discipline in preparing for a career in
2324 education and may look ahead to a future that is bright with
2425 promise; now, therefore, be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2627 Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Hannah
2728 Villarreal-Salinas on an outstanding performance at the Educators
2829 Rising 2021 National Conference and extend sincere best wishes to
2930 this dedicated student for continued success; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Hannah Villarreal-Salinas as an expression of high
3233 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
